I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there seems to be more buzz, well, at least in the medical communications agency world, than usual around WIRED Health 2017 this year. It’s hardly surprising, really.
Thursday 9th March sees this prestigious event return to London for its fifth year. And I can’t wait to see what the industry’s brightest sparks have to say about which trends, innovations and technology might shape the future of healthcare.
As a medical communications agency we are passionate about transformative health, so it’s only natural to find us at WIRED Health this year. Not only does it help us keep abreast of where the future of health is heading but also ensures we can continue to provide this insight to our clients every day.
One of the highlights for me will be ‘The Data Will See You Now’, the talk by Jessica Mega, Chief Medical Officer at Verily (Google’s life science arm), on how data can help determine the causes of disease. Such a fascinating topic and something I addressed recently in an article on whether AI could or should replace clinicians.
With other talks on extreme medicine, genomics, epidemics and disruptive healthcare, it’s sure to be a very interesting event. And it’s sure to stir up a lot of discussion, opinion and perhaps a little controversy. But I think what everybody will take away with them is that not only should the healthcare industry change, but that it can change.
This vision of transforming and evolving healthcare is something we live and breathe here at Create Health. It’s what we think, it’s what we believe and it’s what we deliver in our innovative marketing solutions. And I’m really looking forward to seeing what other groundbreaking thoughts and ideas will be floated this year. I’m looking foward to seeing if they echo any of my thoughts on the current trends affecting healthcare.
If you’re attending the event this year then I hope you’ll also get a lot out of it. In fact, if you want to meet up with me to talk about it – or anything else for that matter – then please drop me an email at [email protected] and we’ll arrange a time and place.
